Parc Tawe

July 15, 2008

Parc Tawe is a large business and leisure sector of Swansea, which incorporates a number of supermarkets, banks, restaurants and a wide-ranging variety of other commercial activities.

It has been designed to create wealth and provide people with a more accessible way of shopping, provided they own a form of private transport.

In terms of social levity, Lake Fendrod is a fundamental necessity to this Business/Industrial Park. It provides the park with a natural habitat for swans and other assorted wildlife. Indeed families with young children, can be regularly seen feeding the birds, whilst mostly young men try both their skills and patience with a multitude of fishing pursuits.

To allow greater visitations to the parc, please introduce public transport service.

The Liberty Stadium is a multi-functional complex in the heart of Swansea, which allows the public at large to be entertained by their sporting heroes. It also plays host to business conferences, ballroom dances, weddings and many other regional and national events in Wales and the UK.

Since its construction in 2005, The Liberty Stadium has been the venue for many sporting contests for both Swansea City and The Ospreys.  Both sets of supporters have been enthralled by the natural skills of the likes of Gavin Henson and James Hook with the oval ball, whilst Leon Britton and Jason Scotland have been talented exponents of the round ball game.

The Liberty recently gained international recognition as being one of the principal venues for the recent Under-19’s rugby World Cup, which was heralded as a major success.

To cap it all, an estimated attendance of 25,000 people, witnessed a musical extravaganza by the Keyboard Wizard of Rock, Sir Elton John, receiving numerous creditable plaudits from the local press.

The Beach

June 25, 2008

On a sunny day, there is no other way to relax than on the beach with a good book to read, while the children are swimming. While the children are drying, out comes the packed lunch, fun, ball games, then clean up litter time, so they can go back to swimming. When that is done, I relax and plan where to go tomorrow. As I live in Swansea, I can have easy  bus travel to a variety of the Gower beaches, also I can walk along Swansea prom down to Mumbles. My kids like Rhossili, they enjoy scrambling over the rocks to go crabbing. For water sports we go either to Langland Bay or Caswell Bay. Both bays are good for wind surfing surfing and kite flying. For brilliant views and scenery we go to Three  Cliffs Bay or Oxwich Bay for miles of sand.

The sandy beaches and wondeful coast-line will leave you  breathless! There are pleasant, leisurely walks, or try a gentle bike ride along the promenade to Mumbles. Visit the “state of the art” leisure centre, the cinema or museum on a rainy day.  There is an abundance of accomodation,  many with sea views. There is so much to do in and  around  Swansea, you’ll never have time to get bored!

The beaches of West Gower are situated amongst one of the most breathtaking and spectacular coastlines of Wales. Over the years, families have enjoyed pleasureable excursions to both Llangennith and Three Cliffs Bay, as well as many other delightful beaches.

Llangennith has a large beach, which offers visitors a list of wide-ranging activities including camping, swimming and surfing.

Three Cliffs Bay, on the other hand, is a beautiful destination that is more attuned to the intellectual adventurer or poet and probably boasts one of the best beaches in the UK.

Finally, at an attraction adjacent to Llanmadoc lies an area of outstanding natural beauty, which is well worth beholding. However, at the corresponding beachhead, wayfarers should proceed with caution.
